About Student Life UQ

Student Life UQ is a Christian movement at the University of Queensland.

Student Life UQ wants to help people take the next step in their spiritual lives. For some people that is exploring or beginning a personal relationship with God. For others it is growing and developing that relationship as an adult. While still other people may be looking for opportunities to learn some new skills in ministry and leadership. Involvement is both challenging and plenty of fun to boot.

We are passionate about building movements at UQ so that everyone knows someone who truly follows Jesus on campus and beyond.

Who Are You People?

We are mostly university students studying at the St Lucia campus @ UQ, though some of us work full-time with Student Life UQ.

What Do You Do?

We are passionate about mobilizing, training and equipping students who love Jesus to get involved in sharing Christ with others and disciple-making.

Our activities are varied and do change in flavour over the seasons, yet they are always centered on our desire as a movement to love God, love people [Matthew 22:37-38] and get serious about disciple-making [Matthew 28:18-20]

What Do You Believe?

Jesus Christ, the Son of God, died to take the responsibility for every person's sin upon Himself. He paid the price for us, and had His own relationship with God torn apart (temporarily) so that we didn't have to. As a result, we are now free to have our own personal relationship with God. After Jesus died and took away our sin, God raised Him back to life.
